Supervising Mental Health Specialist (LCDHS classification 774)

This is a supervisory community mental health position to oversee the program’s continuous quality improvement process.  Supervisor will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.  This position is responsible for utilization management, medical record reviews, HIPAA compliance monitoring, and adherence to State OAR’s, Medicaid fraud and abuse investigation, evidenced based practice fidelity monitoring and the consumer complaint process.  In addition, this position provides consultation to program management regarding implementation of various improvement initiatives. Must be skilled in community mental health service delivery including: assessment, engagement, case management, individual and group psychotherapy; embrace the philosophy of resiliency and recovery; and community consultation.  Assigned responsibilities: provide direction, advice and consult on complex clinical and administrative problems, interpretations of laws and regulations, participate in the selection of new personnel, conduct performance evaluations, provide evidenced based practice training, medical record audits, fidelity monitoring and resolve grievance. Some travel between work sites.

Full Time (37.5 hrs/wk) benefited position working for Public Health Programs

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:

Performs front office duties for Public Health Programs.  Responsibilities may include medical receptionist, client scheduling, excellent typing skills (approx 60 WPM – will be tested), responsible for taking minutes at meetings, computer data entry, third party billing, mail distribution, filing, compiling client charts, assessing client income eligibility and collecting fees, copying and other general office procedures. Possible  evening hours.

Mental Health Associate for SPMI Adults  LCDHS #770

Experienced paraprofessional to work with adults with severe and persistent mental illness (SPMI) in a county mental health setting, in the community and in consumer’s homes. Working knowledge of the general concepts of mental health and chemical dependency as well as community resources.  Ability to establish positive working relationships with other employees, clients and their families, other agencies and the public.  Ability to follow directions in a professional manner.  Ability to work within a team and collaborate with team members. Ability to be flexible with case and task assignments. Must have strong communication skills; basic English composition and computer skills necessary for documentation. Must be timely in completing paperwork and documentation.  This position is on the Wellness and Recovery Team which provides the majority of its services in the community and in consumer’s homes. Primary work site is in Albany. Travel between work sites including Lebanon and Sweet Home may be necessary at times.

Part-time position (15 hrs/wk) available.  Performs and provides preventative services, medical care, client evaluation and assessments, and treatment interventions to clients enrolled in Public Health Services’ Reproductive Health program.  Will be primarily based in our Lebanon clinic but occasionally may be assigned to our Albany clinic.
