Adult Foster Care Licensing

Recruiting Adult Foster Home Providers

The Linn County Developmental Disabilities Program is recruiting Adult Foster Home Providers. If you are interested in applying to be a qualified adult foster care home provider, you must meet all of these minimum requirements:

Requirements for Applicant Licensing

  • Must reside within the boundaries of Linn County
  • One year of experience supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check
  • Financial capability to operate two months without pay
  • Completion of the remaining portions of the application process.

Adult foster home services are offered to a wide array of individuals with a range of capabilities and support needs. Compensation varies correspondingly. Linn County Developmental Disabilities assists in assuring providers' compliance with federal and state guidelines for service; we offer support to our provider community and carefully match the needs of our consumers to the strengths and preferences of our providers for successful and happy homes.

If you are interested in learning more about the licensing process, what it means to be a provider, or more information about our case management services, please contact our Quality Assurance Coordinator, Adria Cornell, at (541) 967-3890.
