Who We Are and What We Do …..
One of the primary responsibilities of law libraries is to promote accessibility and ensure fairness within the justice system. Oregon is required, by statute, to operate a free law library
or provide free law library services.
The Linn County Law Library is dedicated to providing legal research materials to members of the bar and the community at large. The Law Library delivers value to our citizens
through books, online access and other resources for legal needs in an efficient and respectful manner. Information is made accessible to ensure the following:
· Improvements in access to justice for those living in Linn County
· Providing access to legal information for those with difficulties affording legal services
· Identifying needs of the community
· Developing strategies to reduce barriers to access
The Linn County Law Library is supported and backed by the Linn County Law Library (LCLL) Advisory Committee. The purpose of the LCLL Advisory Committee shall be to ensure
that the Linn County Law Library is operated in an efficient manner for the benefit of attorneys, self – help litigants, courts and the general public of Linn County, Oregon.
