Description: The little plunge pools of the Calapooia River offer a prime attraction for swimmers and visitors to this picturesque area. The tall Douglas and white fir trees offer shade for picnickers in the summer sun. The McKercher Park provides for picnicking, swimming, fishing scenic views and acts as a wayside for Highway 228.
