How can I make a Property Tax payment on-line?
We are often asked if people can pay property taxes on-line. For those who desire to make such a payment for
Linn County property taxes, there is an option explained below the

2.95% (minimum $2.00) is charged on Visa, Mastercard, American
Express or Discover payments

$1.50 is charged on e-check payments

Use of Point & Pay is voluntary. There is no fee for payments made directly
to the
Linn County Tax Collector by check or cash. Such payments may be made in
our office or by regular mail.

Steps to make a credit card, debit card or e-check payment
through the internet:

Enter the "New Account Search" and
click "Continue"

Search for your account

Select "Tax Summary Report"

Click "Run Report"

Look for the "Total Due".

If you wish to pay then Click the "Click Here to
Make a Payment" link above the owners name. This will take you to the
secure Point & Pay website for Linn County. Follow their directions
regarding payment. NOTE: No link appears if an account is paid in full,
in bankruptcy or in foreclosure to the county.
