Internship Guidelines

Academic Requirements

Applicants must have a Junior or Senior level standing in college-level courses or program, or have equivalent work experience in their field.

Policies

Linn County General Services offers these positions to help students develop career skills.  Interns or volunteers must be available for a minimum of 12 hours per week for a duration of one complete term (10 weeks).  Employment is at will.  General Services reserves the right to terminate any internship at any time for any reason.

Selection

Applicants should submit their information by e-mail to Director Russ Williams. Select applicants will be contacted for an interview if the applicant is eligible and if an internship position is available.

General Services typically selects between 2-4 interns per term. These selections are based on shifting organization needs, resources, and department priorities.
