Linn County Transient Lodging Tax (TLT)

On July 3, 2018, the Linn County Board of Commissioners adopted Ordinance 2018-197 for the implementation of a county-wide Transient Lodging Tax for Linn County. All lodging facilities located within Linn County are required to pay a tax on the sale, service, or furnishing of transient lodging. LODGING FACILITIES LOCATED WITHIN THE CITY OF ALBANY: The City of Albany is the County’s designated tax collector for all tax revenue received from lodging facilities located within the City of Albany. For registration and tax return forms, please see the City of Albany website.

LODGING FACILITIES LOCATED WITHIN THE CITY OF SWEET HOME: The City of Sweet Home is the County’s designated tax collector for all tax revenue received from lodging facilities located within the City of Sweet Home. For registration and tax return forms, please see the City of Sweet Home website.

ALL OTHER LODGING FACILITIES: For those lodging facilities located within Linn County, but outside the City of Albany, and the City of Sweet Home, or for any Intermediary that is not currently paying a Transient Lodging Tax to any of these cities, please use the forms at the bottom of this page to register your facility and to submit your quarterly tax return.
