Violation Appearance Information

VIOLATIONS (traffic, dog/animal, county code):

You must appear on your violation offense through one of the following options:

  1. Appear in person at 30 E. maple St., Lebanon, OR at the time of your scheduled arraignment.
  2. Enter a plea of NO CONTEST and pay the presumptive fine listed on your ticket online through Point & Pay, or mail the presumptive fine (check or money order) to the court at P.O. Box 283, Lebanon, Oregon 97355. If mailing a check or money order, please also include the name on the citation and the citation number. For online payment instructions through Point & Pay, please visit www.co.linn.or.us/justicecourts.  When entering your date of birth on Point & Pays website, make sure to enter a 5 or 6 digit number with no slashes.  Example 05/10/00 should be entered as 51000 or 11/10/00 should be entered 111000.
  3. Enter a plea of NO CONTEST to the violation by writing a letter of explanation to the court (Option 2 on back of citation). Written communications should be mailed to P.O. Box 283, Lebanon, Oregon 97355, and emails should be sent to LinnJusticeCourt@co.linn.or.us.
  4. Enter a plea of NOT GUILTY to the violation and request a trial by writing a letter to the court (Option 3 on back of citation). Written communications should be mailed to P.O. Box 283, Lebanon, Oregon 97355, and emails should be sent to LinnJusticeCourt@co.linn.or.us. If you enter a plea of NOT GUILTY, you must contact the court prior to your scheduled arraignment date to choose one of the following options:
  1. Trial by Affidavit
  2. Bench Trial by Personal Appearance
  3. Bench Trial by WebEx Appearance

PLEASE BE ADVISED: If the court does not receive a letter or email from you within two weeks after your scheduled arraignment date, you will be found guilty by default. Due to your failure to appear, your driver's license shall be suspended if this is a traffic offense and a $15 suspension fee will be added to your fine balance. The judgment may be assigned for collection to a private collection agency, or an action may be commenced against you and a warrant of arrest issued for Contempt of Court: Failure to Comply (non-payment of fines), or both.
